Japan in the recent years has gained much popularity as a tourism destination. Urbanized major cities will definitely give you mesmerizing experiences that you would not be able to do in your home country… but current Japanese urban culture is actually an accumulation of many traditions gathered from the different parts of the country.
“The Other House” is a name of a place, but at the same name of a collaborative project. We’re a group of individuals who gather locally and from across the world to redefine and “re-discover” traditional Japanese culture starting here in Higashiizu Town of the Izu Peninsula.
This is an attempt to build a “global con fusion” in outskirts of Japan, almost in middle of nowhere… you can ask me(Rob) what the word “con fusion” means.
